Updates...

I am finally sitting down to write about what has been happening at the Hirsch household. A few weeks ago I bypassed my original plans to wait until 18 months old and set up Lauren's bed into a toddler/daybed. Although some thought I was crazy, it has actually worked out pretty well. After a few days she has really gotten the hang of it. Naps were a little difficult at first but recently she has been doing very well. I am so proud of my big girl. Now, we have to be careful because Lauren has decided she sometimes likes to get out of bed and go into sissy's bed. This does not make for good sleep at night. We will see how it goes.

Lauren's vocabulary is growing each day. She is saying words I had no idea she even knew. Additionally, I realized that she does speak a lot more than I thought, it is just not in clear language. For example, she was trying to put on her shoes the other day and got a little frustrated. She came over to me and said something that sounded like I need help. Lately, she has picked up on a phrase that I am pretty sure comes from listening to me "Stop it." It is amazing how our little ones grow.

Last weekend, Tahlor got her first taste of freedom from bicycle training wheels. She has learned to balance the bike on her own. Now, she has to practice more so that she can get really good at it. For a few weeks she would only ride her scooter and refused to work on learning the bike without the training wheels. I had to motivate her with a trip to Chuck E. Cheese. Well, by golly, it worked! Daddy, worked with her and before I knew it she was getting the hang of it. I need to plan that pizza trip.

  1. So I'm completely slow on sending those pictures I took of Lauren to you, but I finally transferred them to our jump drive so I can send them now and I don't know where I put your email. If you want to email me (rachhunt1@hotmail.com) I will send them to you. Sorry I'm a total slacker. Good to see you guys are doing good. Those pictures of the girls are so cute! Rachel
