That's the Way Things Happen on the Polar Express

The girls got to go on a special train ride. A ride to the North Pole on the famous Polar Express. It was a whole lot of fun and the first year that Lauren was not afraid of Santa. In fact, when it was our turn to visit with Santa she ran and jumped into his lap. Santa gave a special bell from his sleigh to each of the children. If you have little ones this is definitely a trip you've gotta take.

We did IT, again!

This year is our 10 year wedding anniversary and because of where we are in our life together and what we've gone through and simply the fact that we made it last for ten years, we decided to recommit to each other by way of a vow renewal. It was awesome! The day was chilly and breezy. The spot where we did the ceremony is next to a water feature and in the shade. I was freezing my butt off refusing to wear my jacket during the ceremony :) However, it was worth it. Many thanks to our friend Pastor Leo Martinez for preparing and performing a perfect ceremony (just what we wanted and needed). Thank you Dad (Hirsch) for taking a few pics for us. And thank you to family and friends who witnessed the vow renewal and joined in to celebrate at lunch!

Through the years...

In recognition of our 10th Anniversary, I thought it would be fun to put together a visual evolution of John and I. This project ended up to be more than I expected, in a great way! I love you, John.

B-day Party

About a month back we celebrated an eighth birthday of Tahlor's friend, Korin. It was a great time in the park with a craft, bubble-blowing, pizza and cake. Happy Birthday Korin (great party Joey!).

She Loves Indoor Soccer

This summer Lauren discovered indoor soccer. When asked if she wanted to do it again the answer was "yes." So, here we are a few weeks into the fall session and Lauren is lovin' her some soccer. Sometimes she acts shy and clings to the coaches and then there are times when she is a little running and kicking machine. She seems to be such a natural. I hope this turns into a life-long interest and maybe even a passion. Gramma Karen told her she could one day play soccer in the Olympics and we could all travel with her to cheer her on. It is so important to dream big, especially when it comes to children.
